Wild bees need more advocates and admirers like you, Kate. We are annihilating their population at an alarming rate.

My orange tree and trumpet vines are attracting massive numbers of bees this year. Yay! 🐝

The sun came out here this afternoon after a dull morning, and I've just seen another tiny tawny mining bee on a dandelion! Was great.

i went out for a walk this morning, and for part of it was next to a very busy main road, and the number of dandelions was incredible! :o
